Post subject:  galaxy wheel bug

i needed some credits badly, so i span the galaxy wheel a total of 3 times(1 time to test it). When i span the first time i got 5x current credits, then i span a 2nd time and i got 5x credits, and then i closed the screen opened it again and i got 3x time credits. However, that's not the bug.

I started with about 1.3million credits and i got 5x which gave me about 6.5million, then i span it again and i got 5x again and it said u received 6.5million again. But then i thought why did i get the same amount if i had 7.5 million, i should have gotten something a lot bigger. So i closed the screen and then span again to check what happened so after that i got x3 and at that moment i had about 13million and it said you received 36 million so i got 36 million in the end.

But if everything went correctly i should have gotten 97.5 million.
because:
start ->1.3million x5->6.5million x5->32.5 million x3 ->97.5 million
actual -> 1.3million x5->6.5 million x5(which actually was more like +6.5million) -> 13million x3 ->36 million.

Basically it took the first amount and used it again when i pressed "spin again?" button

All these numbers are approximate to the nearest million.

had i closed the screen instead of pressing "spin again?" after the first time i would have gotten 97.5 million

when you spin the galaxy wheel it only calculates your credits when you first start. It doesn't change that calculation until you get out of the galaxy wheel screen and the game refreshes.

if you send a message to the dev saying what happened, he would probably give you the difference in credits- he seems quite reasonable. If you could have gotten more by just refreshing, and you spent the GP to spin, I could easily see him being ok with giving you the higher amount.

if he did that then this would be a window for people to start posting more messages about the galaxy wheel. It would be better off as an update that refreshes your credit amount every time you sping the wheel.

I can see him fixing that too-but that's a fix for the future. I was suggesting a solution to this person's issue.

I don't think the wheel works like that.

It doesn't give you #X your credits , it's based off the old daily reward , you get credits based on your rank X the # you get.

it DEFINITELY doesn't work like that.... here's how it works.....

CURRENT RANK times CURRENT RANK times MULTIPLIER YOU LANDED ON times 500.... then there's some rounding that occurs to make it a nice looking number of credits

for instance... i'm currently 759, and just landed on 7x and received 2,016,000,000 credits
759 * 759 * 7 *500 = 2,016,283,500....... rounding to the nearest million gave me 2,016,000,000 credits

Yea i know, i realized that and i guess my numbers were just extremely coincidental and i realized that the 8 looks like a 3. But that just makes the wheel so much less appealing and confusing to someone who hasn't used it before. Regardless, not a bug.

yep, definitely not a bug
(note, i just modified my equation a bit so it'd make more sense for lowbies below rank 40)
