I can not turn animations off when using safari. I can do it with firefox but safari is my main browser. It would not be a big problem except it starts to use my graphics processor and drains the battery of my laptop really fast.

The animation preference should be account-specific. That is, if you turn it off in one place, it should reflect everywhere.
We can force it off if you want to contact us directly.

I just turned it off in firefox and it stayed off. Thanks for the idea.
