I'm just wondering why the opposing player, when they rebuff your hack, and get YOUR research, and sometimes a planet, why dont they get a blue badge for their ships great defensive capabilities? seems like it would make sense doesnt it? |

the message does indicate that you counter-HACK, so you have a point. however, rather than awarding a new blue badge, how about taking one from the failed hacker ? that would add another gameplay element at least. |

as much as youd want that, what happens when the hacking player(who fails and gets counter hacked) has zero blues.. id just like to see everyone get what they deserve, and a blue badge for a hack seems reasonable. even if its in self defence. you get a disable if your gemini cannons take someone out in self defence (also dont know if the opponent gets a red for that or not) but they should... |

And things get broken when you don't have any. Sorry, but you need to actually do something to deserve a badge. Hack fails are determined by low probability random chance. |

I would almost argue that the other player IS doing something... they built their ship well enough to defend themselves.. i dont get disabled often because i built my ship well enough, so my reward is keeping my 200million credits when i wake up and log on.. I would ALMOST argue for PVP players to BOTH receive xp, but then theres a terrible loophole of having someone in a legion alert you and you spam nanos and restorers and just get infinite xp. |

Hack fails are determined by low probability random chance. the gameplay element i was more interested in was the taking away of a blue badge ... don't really care if the counter-hack gets one (but could make it conditional on the attacker having one to steal). this way, stocking up on blues in hopes that Dan comes up with something new for them would entail some risk - at the moment, you could have thousands of blues sitting there gathering dust ![]() |

Dan had purposefully intended that you do not get blue badges for counter hacking, if you're conversely suggesting that you should get a blue badge for counter-hacking, then this should be suggestions and ideas. This part of the forums is for discussions about parts of the game that are dysfunctional or broken. Anyways, if this is a suggestions, if you "do" get a blue badge when counter-hacking, then you should get a kill point to your stat and a red badge when blowing your opponent up with omicron or thetacron mines. If you counter-hack, you're actions should also increase because technically you're "badging" this busts your halcyon and calming amp. Saying a player that deserves a blue is like a player deserves a green badge when defending there planet and causing someone to fail an invasion. The hack may "seem" like an exception because you counter-hack research points. Overall, idea is a -1 |

Overall, idea is a -1 i treated it as a suggestion ... look to the OP for why he put it in this forum. also, i would like that idea of busting a halc / calming amp ... would add another surprise element ![]() |

Don't you get badges for a Thetacron Mine/Gemini(?) kill? I know you get a player kill for it. Surely this is the same. |
