I have been sitting on 3750 research points for several hours now. I got hacked once, but they only took like 20 points -- I am trying to get up to 4000 rp, but it wont let me have more than 3750...

so is it a bug, or do I need to do something to allow for more?

Point to your research points (under credits) They should tell you your research points limit. (tooltip)

No, I doubt so. So if you want a higher limit, rank up. Use the points as quickly as you can, even if you only have 10. IT prevents you from losing them to hackers.

OK i know what your thinking.. you need 4000 RP but only have 3750... you do know that you CAN just spend that 3750 on whatever you want researched and you can finish researching it later.. this is not a game where you HAVE to have ALL the RP needed before you research it... you can slowly put RP into areas so after you put the 3750 into the 4000 research item it will just say you need 250 RP which can be spent later

I think it might actually go up my the amounts of planets you have. Havnt really checked it out though so, meh.

I noticed that i get +150 cap for ranking up.

I can confirm it's only rank related and not number of planets.
