I noticed that a fix was introduced for ? value counters. Imo the auto-refresh demands on the server have introduced lag.

The repair button would not update on zero count but ? was displayed. Refresh demand on the server was per request and the server load was probably better distributed.

Auto-refresh with many campers on line is bound to cause contention due to undesirable synchronization of many refresh requests on same repeating cycles.

I would say that it is cleaner from an application point of view but the increased load on server is introducing lag where little was noticed before.

Which is the lesser evil?
