I was purging planets and went a bit too fast...but it's still a bug. I went to the Planet Artifacts, and accidentally clicked Use twice. They both counted even though (got used) the second time should NOT have worked, as the first time it purged the planet. So basically I lost a purger |

That happens to me an a semi-regular basis when there is lag |

Very old issue and sadly one that has never been dealt with. |

It should fail like "The planet is no longer in your database" or something. |

I've gone back to opening the planets individually to purge to avoid alerted planets anyhow, but yeah, this is a pain considering how valuable purgers are. |
