Dan, I think these should be recoverable. We spend a lot of GP to place them, it should be our choice if we want to move them.
Versions 1-3 are recoverable; this is the first set that is unrecoverable.

I don't see it as an issue.
Poor planning on your part does not require dan to change something.

I guess I'll be more happy if I find a planet with a 3.0 than a planet with a 4.0 then

Um I think the reason for this, is the following item

Lepus Replication Node
[ Limited Item - Easter ]
Starts a Lepus Replication event on the planet,
boosting all production by 10% for 6 days.
If the planet has a Lepus Drone (or Auric) 4.0
already built, this bonus doubles

Someone could get one L.D 4.0 and could move it around to achieve this effect on multiple planets.
Maybe if it could be moved only once a week that would be nice. But I know that isn't going to happen. Meh..
