I started testing a little tonight and sold 3 samples of 50 Lazuli Darkmines.
Yield#1: 123 CTP (2.46 per)
Yield#2: 120 CTP (2.40 per)
Yield#3: 151 CTP (3.02 per)
For the 150, it evens out to 2.6266 CTP per Mine and the description on them states 2-4 CTP (3 average)
Where is the increase ??? First 2 results were exceedingly low and the last one just right on the "supposed" average.

It looks like a small % increase (I am over rank 2000 and I really don't have that many things to scrap to test this)
Like many other things it is possible that Dan doesn't round to the nearest integer but instead rounds down or more simply just chops off all decimal places.
Go test this with something that scraps for more and you will see an increase. Why? Because those scrap values are large enough that the % increase will actually result in a larger number
25% increase to 2 2.5 remove decimals 2 no change in scrap value

It says 2 to 4 so for an increase it should at least guarantee the average and probably more. This looks like there is NO increase AT ALL.
At our ranks (I am 1754) we get very few items that even scrap for "decent" CTP aside from Continuum Parsers so I will see if I can test out your theory.

Normally 8-16 ctp each: 3 Dark Phase Engine(s) scrapped for 52 Complex Tech Parts So 17.33 each.

Scrapped 10 items individually and all gave me below max scrap. On the 11th try I got one above max by 10ish percent. Later I tried to scrap around 15 items at once which gave me 10ish percent above max for every item. Tried recently and all well below max scrap rate. Dan math

Dan math Upping the scrap rate doesn't mean that the new minimum must be higher than the old maximum. Overlapping ranges...

We've scrapped items for above normal range. I think the thought process you are using is prolly too hopeful. I have seen parsers dump for 72 which is obviously above board. But like Tree said, a large quantity maybe 'average' or normalize out at what you view as a disappointing modicum which still statistically having reached significance..dependent on sample size. ICB's comment on overlapping value makes total sense as well. Just because things are scrapping for 'more' doesn't put that MORE over the normal cap. Sucky luck is sucky luck.
