About 15 min ago I brought a Genosynth down to around 1000 hull left and waited for a third player to show up. Said third player showed up and killed it but got no reward.

If he only did one hit, it never registers. He hsould have hit it with an artifact and then disabled. That's how every elite works. If you do a one shot kill, you will never get a reward. Same with if you happen to take one shot that makes the kill shot on a base, you will not get badges

Yeah, this applies to every boss and elite.

It is an order of operations bug.

Basically, the last thing to happen for each hit is that your specific damage gets recorded.

So, when you hit the elite, it will first remove the damage you do. If it's dead, it'll then assign awards to the top X players on the list. Then it will add your damage to the counted damage.

Since your damage is added after the awards are given out, you don't get one.

As mentioned, you can get onto the list in the case of a 1-shot kill by first using an artifact on it and getting on teh list as a 0-damage person. Then when you 1-shot kill, you are already there.

common bug
have nothing to do with the Genosynth, but happens with all NPC's

if you 1 hit and kill a NPC, you dont get a drop from it - becourse the system doesnt take dammage done on the last hit that kills an NPC into account.
I think Dan did it that way to prevent overkill dammage from determine who gets the drops

but theire is an easy workarond if you have a small elite, with only 2 players on it, that you will kill in 1 hit if you attack it.
simply use an artifact on it first, and you will be credited for doing 0 dammage, and if you then kill it you get your drop.
