...bring them back at anytime?

They take up most of my 13.9B/day maintenance bill. I'd like to deactivate them until further notice.

But I can't just "uninstall" them like ship components. They only have a "dismiss" button. If I dismiss them, are they gone for good, or can I bring them back at anytime?

Let's take the example of Kriell, the Tejiar commander. If I dismiss him, would the only way to bring him back be by buying him again for another 52 Raix and re-training him back to rank 100, painstakingly, one-by-one?

Or would my original, rank 100 Kriell be available to bring back at anytime?

I don't want to press "Dismiss" just to regret the decision, so I need your answers, please. Thanks. - Asheron

Dismissing them sends them away forever.

Never tried it but I would assume that for ones you can purchase you can get them back again by repurchasing? If it was a mission reward then they'd be gone forever.

If you do want to "break" them though to be safe and to avoid upkeep, you can. Just get rid of all of your credits, avoid going inactive, and wait for a week or two and let all of your stuff break (including allies) from failure to make upkeep. Then repair the items you want to be using.

The better option, though, is to just invade some maxed toxics and get the additional mining incoming, or use some planet data optimizers on your artifact planets so they also produce research you can sell. (My upkeep for comparison is about 78B and I bring in about $1T positive income per week even w/a few invasions per week.)
