I just got the medal, so I'm thinking there must have been other structures on it. It worked for me having no structures.

Colonized unoccupied planet tried to use amp and got a message saying theres no structures to use it on.

So i dropped. a terrafounder (because of similar text) and used it . whatd i do wrong?

that was your mistake using a terrafounder. You were supposed to use an archotage transmitter

You tried to use an archotage amplifier, and the medal calls for an archotage transmitter. Two different artifacts. Confusingly named very similarly.
