I see this working as having a block button on comms list next to "X", then it will say "are you sure?" and you confirm it. When blocked, someone can post to your comm but it will just display their name and not the message it will say "message blocked" with an unblock option (just so you could undo it if you needed to). This is under issues and not suggestion because I think it is a major game issue. While I don't comm and aggravate people myself and haven't had the issue personally, I've seen shared messages from friends with some really bad stuff in them; some are tit for tat (both people namecalling etc -- you get what you get if you stoop to their level), but some are unwarranted and sometimes abusive, profane, repeating comms/harassing over time, etc. I think this is a decent solution because many people seem to run to Dan about these issues or perceived abuse, etc. But they are not able to STOP the other person from doing it easily. I think players should be able to do this to stop it if they feel there is abuse -- the mature thing is to ignore it and this function lets you do that. This can help Dan save the time of moderating immature players and just have people ignore offensive players; he has enough to do already. |

If they want to make peace, they should stop attacking... Turtle up for 2 days and go away. Simple solution. Even after 1 day or so, most people will take the hint that the other person is backing off and will stop shooting too. Remember it takes 2 to have a war... or tango for that matter... |

I agree completely. This would actually save us a lot of time spent moderating disputes in comm traffic. Expect this feature soon. |
