So I'm working this afternoon in AutoCAD. I have Galaxy Legion open Chrome behind AutoCAD. I take a look to check on research and notice my hull is empty and shields at 12! Which means like someone attacked me. So I go to news and ships comm. Nothing! Absolutely nothing! I have no idea who attacked me!
Well it was David Neumann! Now please tell me after I used the 415 research points I accumulated why did I get a message saying David hacked my system 1 minute ago?

is it possible that you had only a fraction of a HP left and were not disabled? shields wont regenerate if your disabled*. is it possible that a 0 RP hack will show?
*will be regenerating but not shown until you are revived

You can be hacked at any time - even if you are at 100% shields/hull. A high scan rating will help prevent hacks.

OK I certainly understand the hacking. However if I was hacked shouldn't it have shown up in the amount of research (reduction) I had to put into the tree? The thing is that only when I allocated the research did the hack notice appear saying it occurred 1 minute ago. Anyways I hacked him back and got a planet You must be correct because while the hull was zero I wasn't disabled. Dan is their anyway that if we are signed in the Galaxy Legion is open in a browser that we could be notified with a message at the beginning of an attack. I love to respond to 'war' with a hacking -- I'm guessing my opponent can not have to much cloaking while attacking me. Yesterday would have been a perfect timing since i was working in AutoCad and could have just paused and gone to Galaxy to respond. Brian

when your hacked it isnt taken away from the research tree its taken away from the amount of research you have on hand.
and no disable is by definition the complete lack of hull (the only way to accomplish this though is by draining shields first) you were disabled. There are some actions that you are capable of doing while disabled though so you may have just missed it that you were disabled.

How is that possible? the attacks are all whole numbers there is no 17.6768347573dmg just 18.

I believe I had a fraction left because I was not disabled.
regarding the research on hand: It was the maximum that I earn every hour. Unfortunately I didn't check the number on the item I was researching to see if the full amount was applied or the full amount minus the 46 research points I that I received a message was hacked.
I think what it comes down to is that the updates lag a bit. I would imagine the more players the slower the database sync's with each player that is online.

How do you know you weren't disabled? Because it really sounds like you were.

I die more then enough the know this stuff, the thing is I think that Brain either considers "empty" hull to be really really really low hull, or he was disabled and idk what happened. We havnt had a reply from him yet to determine weather it could be either of these 2 things. THough i am quite 1337

One no disabled notice! (unless my memory is bad; Dan can you pull up my account?) I do believe the hull was at zero. The shields where at 12 recharging. David and I must of hit the hacking/research allocation nearly at the same time.
I wish their was a way to replay the last few (hours/days) because I would have gone back to be sure what I have stated is true. As a surveyor I have learned that human memories are faulty and get more so with more time passing. Never trust an eye witness unless confirmed by others.
What is 1337?
I'm new to acronyms so please clue me in.
