Post subject:  Kalvium Asteroids Ratios
I just dropped over 1200 energy in NPC attacks looking for the asteroids. In that time, I only encountered 2 while encountering 7 of the ships needed for the RSL Hack mission. It seems that the asteroid encounter rate needs to be increased since this is a short term mission. 80 asteroids will take considerable time and energy at this encounter rate.

just what i came over too mention to do this mission requires finding 80 asteroids in 14 days thats a fraction off 6 a day (5.7)
i have killed 4 other NPCs and found 1 astroid i will be lucky to complete this once

please increase the drop rate or extend the deadline

This mission is just not viable.... I've wasted all my energy looking for the asteroids and haven't even come across one!!!!
There is no WAY 80 asteroids in 2 weeks can be achieved!!!! :evil:

one of the higher members in our legion is finding them
he says to equip more scanners

so i will be saving up some energy and trying that later :)

scanners either let u find em or not. having a ton of extra scan wont make a difference.

scanners only affect cloaked ships :-/ Vekno is right.

I disabled 8 ships till i got my first astroid then hadnt seen one since. This missions a waste of energy. Theres should of been a mission to complete to gain the Kalvium then a wk later released the mission needing it. By time spends 200-300 energy on battle tab I doubt they are goin to have 25 per mission for the 1 Kalvium they found.

ive found 2 in one day, level 90, more than 1300 e spent
i'd say ratio was 1:12- 1:15

i calculated, at this rat i wont have time to finish it even once, i think ill abandon unless something changes

Positive. All timed mission chains are later added to the regular missions.

EDIT: Except holiday ones, but this isn't for holidays.

The ratios are pretty good i have just finished the mission my ratio was about 4:1 with 7 in a row and all it took me was 7000 energy. so it can be finished in the 2 weeks.

Still don't understand why more people don't get this.... Dan.. superb job!!!

... I have tried and tried.. many of my legion listened but many did not.. the best things for your ship are dropped from npcs.. the very best experience ratio for energy expended are npcs (faster ranking).. you have got to clear more than a few commons to have any hope of the rares/elites.. but hey they are worth it... if we all go at them and share we'll fill our ships with the drops.. tho it took this mission to prove it all.

So far.. today.. I have seen countless npc boss alerts.. there are 9 .. a record at one time.. on our BT right now.. and it is not yet 24 hrs in.

Roughly 1 in 4 commons, maybe 1 in 5 all NPC for me. It reduces the 3 things I see all day long, and doesnt take shields away since it has no attack, so for me it's lovely.
