Drannik Colonies don't add storage?

Post subject:  Drannik Colonies don't add storage?
I recently completed the mission that grants you the three Drannik Colony Ships and I used them to bring my total planets occupied up to 81.

However, my Total Planet Capacity remains at 39000 and 78000.

I notice also in my stats that I am shown with 78 planets occupied.

Is this as intended?

This is intended. The Drannik Colonies are considered separate from your normal totals.

So, along the same lines then, if someone conquers one of your Drannik colonies that extra planet slot is gone forever?

That would make sense; I just want to clarify.

Ah, I've been wondering for some time why my totals seemed off; I guess I got a Drannik colony from someone.

If so: Dan, can you add an indicator that shows which planets are Drannik colonies? I would hate to lose those.

Having checked the wiki I can't seem to find any mention of a Drannik mission chain that grants colony ships as a reward. Would someone please be so kind as to let us know which mission, or mission chain, grants them?

Do you need to have less or more than 50 occupied planets or less ? I was thinking less but someone told me it was more. The wiki is extremely confusing about this mission and the artifact you get.

You need at least some minimum number of planets, and that minimum number is at most 50.

At 46 planets I can do the mission. Maybe this will help someone like me lacking planets.

Seeing as the Drannik Colony "slot" is lost should it be invaded or abandoned is there a way for these 3 planets to have a special indicator that they were drannik colonised? like a passive buff that just states "Automoton Planet" or whatever?

Just strikes me that these planets are worth keeping an eye on and in my noobier days I likely colonised a small barren... but I would rather develop it than lose a free slot :D
