I am proposing that you consider amendment so it be clearer; such as something like:
"The Resistance's outposts are strongly protected. We cannot risk a head-on assault yet without knowing more about their inner functions (or defenses). Use your ship's cloaking ability and spy on their bases we have discovered and find their weak points."
