Or sort of that thing, which is supposed to show you some really good planet since noone have seen it before! Uses lots of artifacts points to get and 5 energy to activate.

Well it's not working! Used 2 of those and there is no new planets in my list!

As you discovered, there is an artifact that will help you find a planet that no one else has found before.
We are going to change it so it tells you what planet you found, but in the mean time, if you PM me you're facebook name, I can see if I can look up which planet you most recently discovered. The artifact does work, but it can be hard to find which planet is new in your list, especially if you have found a lot of planets.

You should make it so these starcharts give you a planet with at least one decent output too. As it is, I've had 3 or 4 of these things and only one of them even had a resource of abundant, the rest were some variation of sparse and average.

Or have varying artifact costs for different star charts, the higher then artifact cost the higher the rarity.

So...
Starchart Basic (300 artifact points) Gives you a common planet.
Starchart Normal (600 Artifact points) Gives you an Uncommon Planet. Etc you get the idea.

If there is more then one type, then just ignore this. So far I've only seen the one kind though.

Question about these, is it like when your shared a planet AKA you have a limited time to colonize it, or is it permanently (excluding planetary fluxes) added to planet list?

It's permanent, as if you scanned it through the normal process.
