Post subject:  Seriously, put a link to updates in the actual game!
When you change stuff, you really need to have an announcement in the actual game. I'm not used to being one shotted, so yeah I was pretty pissed off.

Perhaps, put it up in galaxy news. Updated: combat system, NPC.. for more info, click here (goes to the news and updates page)

You can be one-shotted now??? Dan please do elaborate on how the combat system damage cap works now. Is it based on deck or ship type
(i.e Titan has a higher ceiling damage compared to scout, so an unequipped titan can be one shotted by a scout with a graviton shearer?)

I agree, this would be really handy and I bet there are plenty of people out there who have either never visited these forums or simply haven't noticed they exist.

And I know it's been mentioned many times before, but I really think there needs to be a link to the wiki ingame, perhaps put it in the blank space next to the Forum Help Credits Terms links, or in the Issues and Forum tab of the help page?

Sure.. Ships can be 1-shotted simply cuz too many players with large ships with NO hull or shield equipped due to the old, flawed combat system. Dan updated that so the hull and shield can mean something. It makes more sense to have ships with weakest hull and shield to be 1 shotted. Yes? :)

Now, it's time to research hull/shield technology if any of you neglected that so far.. And time to equip those if you don't wanna be 1-shotted by NPC ships.. :)

1 shotting ships is very unlikely in the future if the ships have the appropriate amount of hull+def. like what was said, with the old system, it was rewarding the player by NOT adding hull or shields by lowering the damage. the system in place now is far more realistic. everyone with paper thin hulls will find that they need to start upgrading.

i agree that there should be an in-game announcement tho.
