This is the best reason why this idea should NOT be put in. Four dump trucks full of lead ore does not magically turn into one dump truck full of gold ore. You should not be able to get more kurenite just because you get a bunch of dysillon. Not happy with the amount of a certain mineral you get? Upgrade/increase your mining production. The 20% tariff is there for a reason. It adds to the strategy needed to accomplish your goals.

The reason so many people are saying its a bad idea is because it is a bad idea, not poorly worded. Don't tell me to find good examples for a bad idea, that's just stupid.

I am not sure I understand.....but what I get is say I have 100 Dynite and want to change it too Chrisium, and say the exchange rate was 100:1, respectively, I could get 1 Chrisium from my 100 Dynite?

If I am correct there then I will have to say -1.

The reason is is that it defies the laws of physics(not that the game doesn't do that anyways).
My main reason is this seems like it will take a lot of work that I am sure Dan can use on a better feature, that a lot more players want to see. Plus there are ways to circumvent the tariffs.
I really don't need this idea anyways.......

acceptable ranges for mineral upgrades:

8.64 to 10.80 Dynite = 1 Chrisium
12.12 to 15.14 Chrisium = 1 Darrinyte
3.46 to 4.32 Darrinyte = 1 Hydium
1.72 to 2.15 Hydium = 1 Erixion
5.79 to 7.23 Erixion = 1 Pawlacite
3.31 to 4.14 Pawlacite = 1 Dieterion
3.60 to 4.50 Dieterion = 1 Dysillon
3.17 to 3.97 Dysillon = 1 Kurenite
11.77 to 14.71 Kurenite = 1 Aidonium

If you give me less than the smallest number, I'd be losing money.
If you give me more than the largest number, you'd be losing money compared to just selling the mineral (paying the tariff) and repurchasing the next size up.

Lets say you have these minerals

and you want Dysillon

you find someone who needs all the minerals and has dysillon and you can sell everything except your dysillon to them and get 588 dysillon
or you could sell it and pay the tariff and get 471 dysillon

NOte these are actual shipment numbers from an incomplete shipment.

it is also possible to reverse trade small amounts of higher minerals into large amounts of 1 class lower minerals
