This Idea is actually very useful, I've played plenty of games where you could create your own ranks for your members (which could have additional abilities or not).

Simply having text to ID members by allows you to help manage your legion, I currently keep a list of our members on our FB group, and can use it to get an Idea for how active they are, the more active a part of our legion the higher the rank.

Eventually they can become an officer and fill a role, we always have to make new lower-ranked officers or officers on at different times to help deal with our member's Qs and settle any disputes which might come about like for instance a member not locking NPCs, etc.

Having that in game would be great, what would be of additional benefit is allowing us to define the ranks, and put a note as to what type of members each rank represents.

While, the "best" would be the ability to set permissions for base activities such as CT Lab Access, or Base locking based off these groups as well; that is not 'necessary'!

Simply having our own extra assignable ranks with descriptions we provide about what the ranks mean would be enough for this to be a great benefit for most legions.

(It also promotes legion participation as members want to see themselves go up in ranks)

Big +1 to this Idea! Also it should be pretty easy for Dan to implement, so +1 for the feasibility of this Idea as well!

So if your are the founder of the legion.... and you promote someone to another leader position then the other leader cant kick the founder right?

Correct, it was in a recent update.

I like the idea because it would allow a little more flexiablity. Giving some "Senior Officers" a few more legion options regular officers don't have without making someone a full fledged leader.

Currently once your an Officer, thats it's. It's impossible to know how long someone's been an officer since there's not a timer for it. I'd support the idea of adding a timer to it as well on the legion page.

Example: Member for 9 months 2 weeks, Officer for 4 months ect.

At the Very Least, there should be a middle teir. Having Leaders, then Senior Officers and then Regular Officers. Maybe even place a limit on the max so it's an honor to promoted to the new higher title, like limit the max Senior Officers to maybe 3 per legion.

I also like the idea of being able to tag a member as being a trader or mercenary so everyone in the legion knows why a person is in the legion. It gets annoying answering the question, "why did (insert name) leave?" well, he was only here to trade a planet ect...
