As per the posts above, this is a REALLY bad idea. I'm drowning in shipbots (Uses Left: 601), and i've got a massive ship (My ship has 26 times more decks than you, Neonred). I really don't need more deckspace.

Stop spending your points on decks, you really are wasting them. Focus on crew - Engineers, Helmsmen, or Tactical (Not Scientists). In the long run you'll be glad you did it. Your ship will be strong for it, you'll have a ship with a low damage cap, and your ship will be more specialised by necessity to the types of actions you do on a regular basis (Hack, scan, attack). Listen to us. we're bigger, more experienced players. We know what we're talking about.

I can understand where your coming from op,, but honestly just wait it out. Coming up into the mid lvl 120 to lvl 200 I was always short on deck spaces now getting into my high 200's its already starting to even out, I can just imagine how it get farther on. I find that I wish I had spent more rank point on tactical officers. Invest more into artifact if your having problems now. Good luck
