rank is useful when tracking movement because there are obviously fewer pvp targets at higher ranks. so, someone getting 40 raids as a rank 100 is not as impressive as getting 40 raids at rank 1000, where the opposing ships are presumably much better outfitted and crewed on average.
e.g. LOWLAND got 36 raids yesterday at rank 677, outmatching both PsiBlade (rank 438, 35 raids) and DrHorriblePhD (rank 194, 32 raids). meanwhile Johny45 got his 29 raids at rank 1313. (rank data collected on the 16th)
anyway, with the limited amount of space on the leaderboard screens, i just want to see useful info presented and race/profession doesn't qualify.
