As long as there is no physical interaction with the actual game, it seems to be ok. TU has a manual input planet database program so we can track our planets including structures, resources, and passive stats.

Why do I not have this?

Ok, so this is my starting idea. I'm going to only use the researchable ship modules to start with, as these are the ones everyone has access to. After those modules have been done I will work on adding NPC modules. I don't think I will add any discontinued or holiday specific modules to the program as these are going to vary each holiday and a lot of people won't have them. I may publish a working version of the program with just basic stats(atk, def, hull) at first to let everyone get a feel for the program and make suggestions. After that I will add scan/cloak, and finally reactors and relays. I will publish after the scan/cloak and reactors are added. It may take a bit more time to add the relays as I have to factor in the energy loss when installed. After I have all of the buildable/researchable modules done then I will do any tweaking to the program that is necessary and see if the community wants the npc modules added or not.

I have a ship builder spreadsheet, supposedly created by a player that goes by the name "Toonela" I found it online, and it comes in handy. I'm currently in the process of updating it, because of the addition of new modules since it's creation.

I have finished my program and trying to get it to Dan for review before I get it out the you guys/gals. I warn you it's not pretty but it's simple and functional. I will probably add more to it as I figure out more about java. May add a tab where you can add some of the special modules you may have on your ship. Doubt I will add the mission modules for now.

Dan has not gotten back to me in a while so I am going to post the website here. Just download it and double click the Jar file. Make sure you are using the most recent Java update otherwise the program won't work. If you have any questions or comments refer to the email on my website and make sure you put the right subject.

Make sure you have your Java up-to-date or this will keep happening.

Now that the program is out, I want to here from the people using it what they would like to see in it. I have not added the shield modules or shield regen to the program as I don't see too many people using them. What is your opinion? I had a suggestion to add the tier modules and race/proffesion bonuses to the program. Does everyone feel these are good additions? I want to prioritize my updates so that players get what they need/want fast. Any other suggestions? Updates will come as fast as I can do them but this is a free program so I do it on my spare time. Send suggestions to me via pm here or post them in this forum for all to see.

perhaps % mods first and a race and a profession for their bonuses added as well, then slowly add mission items.

I know nothing about Macs so I am not sure how to make this program work on a Mac. However, that may be an update down the road assuming enough people want it. As far as the 4 digit number issue, I am working on correcting that. I will be making an update for that in the near future and hope to have some other things added as well. Keep me posted on what errors you run into so I can fix them.
