 mobile asteroid base as fightership allies.

Erm just wondering something......your ship at high ranks would be the size of a small moon.....why would you want or need to have a smaller much more breakable ship following you around in order to carry fighters?

As you increase in rank or/and more damage it does the better it get and going to be harder allies to assist you and stronger it gets and not going to be weak.

Everybody here is forgetting the fact that since space is a vacuum, a ship with powerful engines could easily tow humongous objects without much issue because there is no resistance. The asteroid is not a planet with high gravity, it's a big rock.

But, I digress. I think a mobile base that's not on an asteroid would be cooler and more efficient, and a better sounding ally. But more allies would be nice. Perhaps a mobile asteroid base would be better sounding.

Weight doesn't matter in space!!!!

There is no gravity! Weight makes no difference. A ship could weight billions of tons and move faster than an object that weighs two ounces. It's simple science.

Maybe I'm just overreacting over something small...

Okay. Thanks, it's much better now. I like the idea of mobile bases anyways.

We should make it resemble the Death Star.

Not to mention why would a ship the size of a moon need to have another ship tag along to carry fighters?

Since it is know a mobile asteroid base it has special engines that keep up with your ship and follow you around.

-1 asteroids don't have that much gravity but if it was a scout there would be a problem. asteroids>ships

asteroids do have gravity it depends on their size and whats the makeup of the asteroid.

I still don't get why would you friggin bring an asteroid with you?!?!?!
How does bringing thousands of tonnes of earth gonna help you ?? it slows your ship down, it's massive near immobile, hunk of junk that floats in space. If anything, this "Asteroid" would be a liability in any space based combat scenario.

Asteroid bases are built to hide themselves from enemy ships, Shipyards, space docks, command centers can be hidden internally inside an asteroid.

Another reason asteroid bases are set up is because it serves as a temporary place to pool in resources from nearly asteroids.

I'll put up some of my own ideas :

Support Auxiliary Vessel :

A ship used to replenish ammunition and maintain ship upkeep.

+ X amount of hull
- X amount of Upkeep
[*] Abillity to restore hull to full free of charge. This abillity grants +10 % Hull for 2 hours.
Immune to CMs
( Available when MAX ranked, 24 hour cooldown )

Strikecraft Carrier

A very large ship that carries numerous fast-attack strikecraft.

+ X amount of Hull
[*] Abillity "Fighter Launch" :
+ X amount of defence and attack depending on rank of Carrier. Immune to CMs, lasts 1 hour.

Captured RSL Science Vessel

An RSL ship used to perform various experiments in cosmic conditions. It is also used for exploration, collecting data on anomalies and gathering exotic material.

+ X amount of scan
+ X amount of cloak
+ Abillity Debuff : -10% enemy defence when under attack
( available only when MAX rank , abillity can only be activate once per day )

those 3 fighter are good ideas. I am changing the mobile astroid base. when it in astroid mode it will appear as a astroid boosting your cloak while in that mode.

it come in handy when your gone offline as other times to, it boost your cloak helping you to be less randomly attacked. reduce the chance for a critical strike in combat. increase your hacking potential and hacking defense. provide cloaking to any guarded planet.

when another legion locks on your legion base it could be a decoy it appear like the legion base. each person in the legion had one make it harder to fire on the real base.

Wouldn't it make sense of this asteroid Base be a planet structure instead of a spaceship that moves?!
