Hive species like the Xecti are technically female. The only males in the hive should be the drones, which sole purpose is to mate with the queen, then die

And why are we to assume that these aliens conform to human or even Earth norms? That picture of a female Inergon - who's to say that Inergon even have hair, body, facial, or on their head, if they're not even Earth mammals? How do we know that they even have two genders - could they have one, or more than two? The Litheor that are coming out, it's quite likely they don't reproduce sexually, being rock-based. The Vygoid, perhaps they used to reproduce sexually but now they just build new bodies to reproduce, removing the need for "dangly bits"?
