And herein lies one of the problems I have seen in the last 5-6 months since I started playing. Too many people are having issues separating the two.

I'm not sure what relevance that has to do with this topic...

Yeah, it kinda went on a tangent. And, no, I wasn't referring to you.

i totally agree that these two paid planets should be protected up to a point if you reset your account or are inactive for six months they get dumped back into planet pool with bo structures on them

I really don't see how some people see this as only helping an elite few? Is this because a Dysonian proposed it? This would help all players since more would not fear losing money to get this advantage. This would put more money into Dan's pockets which would give him more incentive to add more and more to the game. Saying "oh that's life" about people buying something for a game which is then stolen is flawed because it is a game not life. Most people I know will not spend money for a game just to basically have that money stolen by another player. If this is limited to just a small select planets a player can buy and not made oh you can buy all the planets you want and they will all be protected then it does help everyone. I swear that sometimes very good suggestions are beaten down by some simply because of how came up with the idea.

More money into Dan's pockets does not necessarily equate to incentive to add more. I would like to think it would though, and from what I have seen, he is constantly improving the game. So no complaints, just pointing out this is an assumption, not a fact.

The HT creates a 13x mega across the board and the Dyson is, what, 28x mega? Take 2 players. Everything else being equal (rank, tech, income, etc). Player #1 buys both. Player #2 does not. Doesn't this create a MASSIVE imbalance? Basically FORCING Player #2 to buy in also, just to stay competitive? In the long run, this would generate LESS money. Too many players who for whatever reason cannot afford the buy-in will get tired of not being able to compete and leave.

A blanket immunity for these planets I think is a bad idea, plain and simple. Buff up the A/D/C for them? Make them EXTREMELY HARD but not IMPOSSIBLE to scan/take? Count me in.

Is it a bad idea because a Dysonian proposed it? No. I've seen many excellent ideas come from the mind of a Dysonian.

And sometimes bad suggestions get PASSED simply because nobody voices disagreement...

I'm not sure I agree. I think it might be the opposite of what you said at the moment. Player 1 buys it. Player 2 doesn't buy it. Player 2 works harder to keep up (they can, trust me, I am player 2). Player 2 works for a year to get their exotic/dyson and has it stolen. Player 2 so frustrated, they quit and tell people not to play because of how their work can go up in smoke. That doesn't help the game or Dan.

Honestly, this is one of the only games on Facebook I've heard of where the things you buy with real money can be stolen.

Player 2 doing the same after a month or 2 because they can't compete in what is supposed to be a FUN game.... That doesn't help much either...

My whole point is that there should be some point in the middle that can be reached. If I had one of those planets (bought or earned) stolen, yeah it would piss me off. But when you go from one extreme to the complete opposite, chaos ensues. Just make things super hard for someone to take one of those planets. At least let the little guy THINK he has a chance....

And if you used that energy you just GP'd for a scan blitz, find a pretty good planet, colonize it, build it up, and someone comes along and snakes it off of you.... Same thing, ain't it?
