Or lets say this player has disabled and insulted 3 of your legionmates? Zero the hacks/raids why worry about ship strength then?

Or lets say this player has disabled and insulted 3 of your legionmates? Zero the hacks/raids why worry about ship strength then? Is that a real question? Even if you don't PvP at all your main focus should still be on strength and production. Stronger ship = ability to take well defended planets = more production = stronger ship. Nowhere in there does amount of disables come into play.

Wait. You're saying you should get strong to take planets to get stronger? That doesn't make any sense. With you philosophy you don't need to be strong, so you don't need to take planets. You're just being silly.

Well then you should stop researching weapons, or adding tactical officers since you wont need them to take planets. I'm sure you will do just fine.

That is YOUR suggestion. Admit it, pvp is an integral part of the game. And without it, ship strength become irrelevant. There is no need to get stronger if you aren't disabling eachother. With no need to get stronger there becomes no need to steal planets. All deaths should count towards your stats. That is the solution

Ship strength is also needed for bases, planets, and npc's. PvP is only one of the uses for ship strength. Having all deaths count wont help or hurt so +1/2

So you agree that players should be able to disable enemy players? All disables should count on players' stats.

Mi Mi Mi La La La... <cough> Ahem...
Sorry, just clearing out my throat before I start singing my standard response to discussions such as this...
Aw forget it... No one listens when I say stuff about combat rep and leaderboard stats being meaningless anyway...

The point is even if all disables count it does nothing significant. Most players (not all) don't care how many disables they have.

Aw forget it... No one listens when I say stuff about combat rep and leaderboard stats being meaningless anyway... Most players assume enemies with weaker reps will be easier to kill, and target them first. Those players get disabled more often because they are targeted more often. Because of their combat rep, which is directly influenced by the number of deaths on their stats. That is an example of combat rep mattering.

With nearly 3000 PvP kills to my record, I can honestly say that in my experience, there is zero correlation between combat rep and ease of kill. There is also no correlation between combat rep and chance of halcyon.

I never done this nor will I ever do it. I do agree that this probably should not be allowed, but at the same time I think that other things are way more important then this
