As was stated earlier, if Dan lowers the GP cost of anything, players will buy more of it. It's quite possible that the extra GP items bought as a result would more than offset the lost profit for each one. Basic economics.

No. These are not the same thing. We are talking about getting rid of the half of a product you DO NOT want, for half the price. It really would work out better. Know what stop people from trying to haggle it down? Logic. If we get half of a product, why would it not cost half of the price?
