#2: Changing builds tend to hurt SSB, they suffer a lot of disadvantages in keeping the ship SSB and the aftereffect of those advantage will remain after the change(such as generally worse planet set) while advantage is gone.
#3:In space combat, while it's not possible for one ship to BEAT 5 ships(of equal strength) at once, it's not exactly unrealistic for one ship to be able to escape death from 5. Granted the realistic solution is constant warp jumping etc to keep away from the enemy as opposed to repairing the ship over and over, but the overall effect is the same. Long as all you want to do is run and stay alive, you can escape death. So immortal is perfectly fine. 2. I am not giving those who went with a SSB/MSB just because they decided to stick with it. So went pure energy to rank on purger mission and dan dropped the experience on that TWICE. You choose a build and adapt to the game, the game doesn't adapt to fit your needs alone. 3. Getting off a planet is escaping, staying to guard while 5 ships blast you and you repair faster than they can completely disable you is unrealistic and unpractical.

He have yet to make the same point about the current SSB so the two are not comparable. But we can leave #2 up to dan to decide, I consider it unfair because it hurts some player more than others but if Dan really hates SSB, he is free to take a hacksaw to it. #3: And now we are back to guarding planet. If guarding planet is the problem(exotica or not), fix planet guarding. DONT go poke PvP in general because of it. For example, make it so repairing cause the player to unguard and unable to reguard for certain amount of time. They can still KVT spam ofc, but they will be knocked off EVENTUALLY.

SSB is a method of playing. It's a legit strategy. This is a strategy game, so there's nothing wrong with people playing how they want.

Dan changed the damage cap formula so that people were forced to add decks as they ranked. 3. pvp from the bt rarely has an online fight. why bother? much easier to just kill someone who is offline. planets guards are the ones who defend themselves against multiple attackers and usually the only time arts are even used. Most people throw hissy fits when someone uses arts on them from the bt. Bt hits are usually 1v1, and I am okay with current system where someone can't defeat another while online, when it gets to the point where taking someone down takes so much time that their shield regen is greater than the damage you can do then we might have a problem, and this would again be the solution.

Take the purger case you brought up. Yeah, Dan lowered the exp on the purger mission, but does that mean he will do it again? Maybe, but you can't know for sure. 3. There are ppl running around with 0 or few disables... maybe they want to stay that way? People can have different preferences, you can't just base everything off of your own feelings and rationality. Also, non-guard group attack does exist, namely alerts. Seriously, if you have beef with planet guarding then fix planet guarding and stay out of PvP.

You are contradicting yourself. You don't know he was unhappy with the original state or that is he is happy with the current state. Uy23e wrote: 2. What is "intended" is not for you to decide. Until Dan come outright and say so(if I missed it, sorry, plz point me to it), you can't' say it's not intended. This is a balancing issue. If there is no way to % damage eventually disables become impossible to do while someone is online EVER, then longer down the road you get to the point where people take too long to even kill them offline, because shield regen is too high. Torpedo/inhibitor only will delay it so long before long hull so large that you are spending an hour just to kill someone, then 2, 3 etc... their hull/shield/defense is unlimited. their damage cap becomes static and the growth rate of their stats grows faster and now you can't kill them while they are offline because you take so long to do so. People have no disables because they turtle. You want to do that there are halcyons and calming amps for you. Don't interact with anyone else and hide behind them. Again contradicting yourself. Uy23e wrote: maybe they want to stay that way? People can have different preferences, you can't just base everything off of your own feelings and rationality. It is not a feeling it is a fact, there is no limit to those stats, and the is a cap on damage. Without a way to over come it so that you can deal more damage, eventually the amount will lead to immortal ships. As in no matter what arts you fling at them, no matter how many people hit they just have so much hull and shields that you can't get through it all. Alerts usually are taken down while they are offline any way so that you can zero their raids/hacks. Killing them online rarely happens just because it is not worth the effort. Spend 5 minutes getting through their KVTs and they use a nano and do it again. Manage to get them to 0 disables...well they can torment you for a day spamming you before you can even attempt to disable them.

Why would he change something if he was happy with it as is? That said, I don't really care about why he changed it before. All I'm saying is that you cannot say for a fact that he is unahppy with the current situation of SSB. I am NOT saying that he is happy with it, just that you can't say otherwise unless he states so. How is this contradicting myself?
For balancing the eventual unkillable issue, I would propose, for example, doubling the damage cap of ALL ships(and when ships become unkillable again, double it again etc). Why? because it would affect all ships by the same extend, as opposed to affecting some players more than others. When all players are affected by the same extend, it's FAIR. When it's not, it's unfair. And the only case where unfairness is justified is if the people that gets shafted are those that are "abusing the system" so to speak by doing something that the game does not intend. And the only judge and jury of that would be Dan. Until such point where Dan express explicit dislike toward something, fairness should be a consideration in suggestions.

You are saying he is happy or unhappy with something, neither of which he explicitly stated. So unless he does say so, you can't say those are his feelings. That is how you are contradicting yourself. I don't care about the SSB topic at all. They will adjust with the game as the rest of us have with as content comes out. Okay so in a year when 200k is the average hull double the damage and keep doubling more and more frequently as people's APH rises and the caps becomes reachable sooner and sooner. maybe even triple it, quadruple. The poor low rank who adds a few too many decks and is dead in 1 shot, and can't get to 2 for a few months because is APH can't compare to the rank 3000s. Through no fault of their own, they have become a complete tincan of ship and by the time they can even remotely catch up, bam another increase in the cap and he is a tincan again.
