Has the demand for EM gone up? Sure. Has the supply gone up as well? No. Only because there are very few people who have figured out so far that the high EM demand is because of a change made by the developer to make Mining relevant again. For the first year, year and a half, of GL people went for a nice balance on resources. Then all the cool kids said ALL AP, ALL TO. Dan figured out how to stop that. High energy, high EM missions. He's not going to (and nor SHOULD he) make a change that nullifies what he's already done to bring balance to the Force... er... game.

And my idea is to help increase the supply to balance it out. ANYWAY, my words never suggested it "doesn't affect" me. I stated I can afford the price hike due to high demands, which I can - but it still affects everyone in the game. WAKE UP PEOPLE! We are facing a serious Exotic Matter deficit! After removing the off topic stuff from your most recent post your point seems to be that demand has risen but supply hasn't? Several of us have given a perfectly good solution to this 'problem' - INCREASE YOUR MINING PRODUCTION!!! Increase your supply until you can meet your demands. Advise your low/mid rank players that ARE having problems to increase THEIR production. Looking for/asking for/waiting for a handout is not a solution, especially when the increased demand is by design.

Looking for/asking for/waiting for a handout is not a solution, especially when the increased demand is by design. It's only a partial solution and unfortunately will only increase EM production by a super tiny bit. Low and mid level folk don't get much out of mining out of their production. Higher levels get more, but technically the Occupy costs alone will ensure that it won't pay for itself for quite some time.. I wouldn't call it a good solution, but it IS a partial one. Those who need more mining can easily NPC their way into 16x Mega Rich toxics. Me personally? Toxic Purifier (Uses Left: 1259) I can easily use them when I need more mining (though there are tons of 16x mining enemy planets on my list, some worth taking for the artifacts), and I've sold some before, but now my occupy cost is too high and mining planet prices are so low that I point people to others who are selling .... Heh, if only there was a way to turn these into Mining equivalents of "Planet Data Optimizer" (mining +1 on anything up to 15) -- maybe a repeatable daily mission? or a new CT Lab blueprint? I think it's a good idea too, which means everyone will probably hate it.

Who wants to buy toxic uplifts? Toxic Purifier (Uses Left: 1206) I can do a few toxics, guaranteed to increase your mining which will give you more EM. All you have to do is claim your resources Again, it's only a partial solution and minor solution, but definitely +1 for offering that service to lowbies and midbies who haven't NPCed enough purifiers on their own.

You are correct in that is only a part of the solution. Forgive me for omitting the other part where if you don't have enough EM to do a particular task for your Legion mission, or enough to do make purgers or temp fluxes then you shouldn't be signing up for that task, or attempting to make purgers or temp fluxes. I.E. LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS Also, I don't know if you know this or not, but there is a place where you can buy EM for credits, the GTC. As you increase your production, you will make more and more credits which can then be turned into even more EM. I am rank 660, low rank to some, mid to others. I currently have over 800k EM in my cargo and am at the GTC 2-3 times a day to buy more to stockpile for both myself and any legion mates that may need some to complete a LM task. Altogether I can bring in about 10k EM a day if I am really working at it. Contrary to popular belief, there is more than enough EM to go around, if you are willing to do the work to find it. The only real problem I see is the limit of 1000 EM per sale in the GTC.

I.E. LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS Once again, not a solution. People did live within their means, until the price for EM skyrocketed to huge amounts. You can't look at super inflated prices and tell people to live within their means when they can't anymore. It's not a solution, saying "if you can't afford it, don't buy it" is an obvious immediate advice, but it's not a solution to inflation, or to anything. It's like that old patient-doctor joke: "It hurts when I move my arm like that!" "Then don't move your arm like that." Arturo wrote: The only real problem I see is the limit of 1000 EM per sale in the GTC. Yeah, GTC (Galactic Trading Center) as a whole is another partial solution, especially when you get extra lucky on buying and/or selling some stuff. It's profitable for those who have a decent internet connection, and the time to visit it often enough, too. And yes, IF IF IF (!!!) GTC's EM limit of 1000 were to increase to 10000 at least, it sure would make things more convenient for both buyers and sellers.

Minerals 47641 units / hour + Stellar Cartography 0 / 10 Completion Level: 165 <--- notice how little I've done this mission = Exotic Matter 9,481,681
I do the EM legion mission tasks when they roll around and it is my turn to do them. (EotS people take turns on a rotation for certain legion missions to ensure a high pass rate) It didn't take me years to accumulate that EM, I was at 1 mil at the start of the year thanks to base donations
Or maybe I get far too many of these and it skews my perspective. Reward Claimed You gain 190705 Mineral Units
