@Devilsimps, what in my rather comprehensive analysis of elves in fantasy fiction led you to believe that I had no idea at all what Draconians are? I read the original Dragon Lance books when the were first published. I've been playing D&D since the first publishing of the Blue Box and my AD&D books are first edition... and not because I sought them out in a collector's shop. I learned Tunnels and Trolls before I could read. I Played the Goldbox games. Yes, Thanks, I know what Draconians are, where they came from, and what happens when they die. What exactly that has to do with a Fantasy version of Galactic Legion is beyond me.

Draconians aren't a fantasy staple like Elves, Dwarves, Faeries, Lizardmen, Ratmen, Orcs, Goblins, Trolls, Devils, Demons, Angels, Dark Elves, Minotaurs, Elementals, Djinni, Halflings and so on. Also, even if Dragonkin were, Dragonlance Draconians wouldn't be a good example of them as an actual race because Draconians can't breed. They are non-self replicating, which might make them good soldiers, but makes them a terrible race. In fact, since they cannot Replicate, they don't actually meet one of the definitions of a lifeform: Consumption & Replication. So they actually loose to Fire and Vampires in that regard.

This is all getting fairly close to off-topic though. Ultimately all race choices would be up to Dan, unless he went by forum consensus. Personally, I'd think a Dragonkin race would be the better choice for Inergon, although I'd be more inclined to give that to Djinn/Effrit.

well, i never said you didnt know what it was, it was just for everyone as a whole. and to the point where they cant mate, there actually has been a couple references to Female Draconians, but only in a couple of books, one of which female draconians were found. a Sivak if i recall correctly, and Draconian Females are suppost to become more well known in the books to come.

and yes, Dan would ultimately decide what race would become what, but the point of a good forum is for people to get together and disguse things. Like the Suggestions and ideas.

but in honest to got GL fan, i think the game wouldnt have as much success if he based everything off of the normal names for the races, he should name and make every race in FL on his own. maybe with a couple of helpers but just make the majority of races look like he wants them to.
