Um...Nature seems pretty destructive....and these things we call Nukes kinda destroyed alot out of nature. but thats in Real life. not in a game where it just is an added bonus. which i dont see anyone saying we should bring religion in the game ANYWHERE in the first ten pages of this forum. I see philosophies that have nothing to do with religion and we just talked about people could invent religions. but noone said anything about bringing them into this game persay.

Naw, Nuclear bombs (testing included) and all Nuclear accidents and mining fatalities only amount to less than 25,000 deaths.

Religion actually gets a bad rap as the cause of most of the world's hardships, but Economics were the driving force of the Crusades (The Muslims actually offered to give the Crusader Kings Jerusalem if it would stop the raiding and wanton slaughter, but the crusades brought tons of muslim treasures and slaves back to Europe.) as well as the Mongolian, Tatar, and Hun invasions of China and India and Europe. Ethnicity and resource scarcity have caused a ton of wars and genocides (Such as in Rowanda and Nanjing), and the biggest deaths of all are philosophical.

The Purges in China and Russia (where communists killed dissenters) and the Nazi Deathcamps weren't about Religion (although religious groups were targeted).

But even those need to be compared to AIDS, Spanish Influenza, Small Pox, Cholera, Dissentery, Malaria, and Black Plague for their ability to obliterate entire communities. Volcanos, Tsunamis, Drought, Earthquakes, Hurricanes, and Tornadoes have killed their fair share too.
