if the bidding has been run up by 2 bozos, the number of BIDS, by itself, is a completely useless data point, and gives no indication of what may happen as the clock winds down.

the number of BIDDERS on the other hand allows buyers and sellers to gauge overall interest, and how much activity there may be in the latter stages of the auction.

including both would be better, but if i had to choose only one of those 2 datapoints, i would choose bidders.

By autobids, do you mean that you automatically bid on an item every time you are outbid? If so, it would be hilarious if two high level players both set the same auction item on autobid, and one of them ended up wasting a few hundred trillion dollars.

Not sure if this has been suggestted anywhere yet for the Trading Centre:

I would love a feature for auctions you are 'watching'

In other words autions that you have not yet bid on but are interested in, and want to keep an eye on it's price. On each auction have the option to 'watch this item' and then a separate tab showing items you are watching.

This seriously saves ahving to scroll through the entire list each time you are looking for the items you had previously spotted and wanted to keep an eye on....

We can supplement or supplant our requested credits with requested trade items.

Many of us would be more than happy to part with 100 Dark Pyramids these days in exchange for just as many CTPs, so if we need CTPs, let us request CTPs for a trade of Dark Pyramids in the GTC.

SECOND:

We should be able to bid on parts of a lot of items. If there's 100 of an item being sold but only need 25, why not let it request 25?

what does it matter how many bids there are on an item.. what matters is whether or not your winning..

This is true, I don't see any practical reason for having the number of bids displayed.

I have been fiddling with the GTC for several days now. I have won a few auctions. I would like the option available to sell either for credits or complex tech parts. Sellers option.

Yup this is one thing definitely needing change on the GTC.

Not just CTPs and credits, but also other high-value items. (A bartering system. Many good games have this, so we may get better with barter.)

But trade with at least CTPs, beside credits. Hopefully we get to trade with more than that, but it's a start. - Asheron

I realize the GTC isn't top priority but can some of the stuff in this thread be looked at again so the center can be improved on? Thanks.

I am not sure if this has been suggested but I think that increasing the time by 10 mins after each bid would be a good addition to the GTC. This would completely fix the watch that clock method that is being used by everyone now! It sucks to have an item stole out from under you, for lower then you are willing to bid just because someone has better timing than you...
