It occurs to me that tech parts are soooo hard to come by that they should count as a higher percentage of base contributions than energy or exotic matter that everyone get's regularly...
Tech parts take a concentrated effort to come by, and cost significant amounts of energy no matter how they are acquired!
I think they should count as no less than 100 energy in percentage of contributions... Anyone else have a thought on this???

counting 1 CTP equal to 100 Energy seems a bit much
i usually get roughly 30 CTP from scrapping a module from elites that take roughly 12-18 clicks to do my fair share of damage...
12 * 5 = 60 energy,... that's 2 energy per CTP 18 * 5 = 90 energy,... that's 3 energy per CTP
------------------------
As for the general idea though... it's been suggested over and over again in various forms that the equation for contribution should be modified... some equations make each individual contribution type count as 33.33%... some allow the contribution types to be weighted,... some suggestions even factor in contributed credits that have already been siphoned away for upkeep... and some suggestions allow give a special allowance for folks that purchased structural extenders....
my suggestion was 10 points for CTP, 2 points for Energy, 1 point for Exotic Matter, 1 point for every 1 million credits (with a banking system that tracks everyone's net contributions) and a guaranteed 0.5% for each structural extender.
in short, there are many serious problems with the current way the contribution system works and the people that have dealt with those problems have ideas of their own on how to fix it
