I know that there were request to re-implement this feature, but it got covered with all the topics in the forum. Before the current legion was implemented there was a column under "Legion" where in you can see the strength of your friend's ships, although you cannot see your own ship strength. After the New legion system was implemented the ship strength was removed and the only sign that there is a calculation for ship strength is when you look at the legion tab and See AVERAGE STRENGTH. and when you look at Legion Rankings there is a Strength Score Rankings too Why not add a feature were in we can see our ship strength under the ship stats and comparative rankings of our legion member's ship strength. This feature will allow players see how they rank vs other legion members and could also be a new tab under leaderboard. Top 10 players - Ship Strength Top 10 players - Pound per Pound (Ship Strength divided by rank)

It might be a good idea to greatly expand the ship strength formula. Attack plus defense doesn't adequately cover the true strength of a ship. Everything contributes really, especially for hackers who focus on cloak and scan. Hull and shields should contribute also.
I like the idea of an individual top score for ship strength though. Again it should expand beyond the top 8 as mentioned in the other topic. Top 100 might motivate more people.

I think if they included too many of those things in the "ship strength" it would lose meaning; if every factor was put into one score it would give you even less of an idea of what their ship is like. But I do like the idea of knowing about hacking ability as well, maybe they could have some sort of "durability" score for hull and shields and "hacker" score for cloak and scanning. I like the idea of adding this back in though.

The point of it shouldn't be so you can pick and choose your targets, it's about ship strength which includes every attribute.

It wouldn't be your targets, it'd let you know what your buddies in your Legion are good at, you couldn't see your enemies' strength.

The suggestion I was adding was to make an individual leaderboard of it.....So it could be anyone.

My main suggestion was for strength to be private to legion. Its best if we can hide from our non friendlies what our true power is. its a way to measure each individual ship in the legion. But of course it can also be an item on the leaderboards. It has long been an issue that some low levels are saying "Well I killed high ranking players." It has been a long debated issue on whos stroner and whos weaker.. maybe this will be a better measure on how we should build our ships. I know Dan already has a formula on ship strength it just has to come back again so we can see.

VVv nice idea! Was just looking at some of our legion members to help them balance out and strengthen up their ships, this would be a way to look at them without having to open up each one to look at ship stats. Also like the leader board idea

i think it was revived because its a good idea that dan passed over because it recieved little support, or was regarded as unimportant because it didnt add any new features to the game. imo this is a great idea.
