As someone who is currently getting pounded by members of a legion 75 ranks and more above me (and commensurate ship sizes above me as well), due to me retaliating on one of them when they stole a planet of mine, let me suggest that this kind of thing (picking on opponents who are vastly smaller and weaker than you) should be prevented from generating badges. At the same time possibly implement a bonus badge for disabling someone of vastly superior rank and size. I hope this gets built into the base system as well. My legion has an average rank of 81. The above-mentioned legion has an average rank of 172. I'm wondering if the base combat system will let them just pound on our level 3 base till their hearts' content and generate millions of badges for themselves with relatively no effort. The badges need to mean something. |

The badges need to mean something. you do realize they can only get one badge of each type per 12-hr period from a single target, right? just stop fighting back and in 2 days you'll drop off their newsfeed and they'll stop hitting you... then the max they'll get once you stop fighting back is 4 badge types * 2 badges per day * 2 days * 60 legion members = 960.... nowhere near the millions you're thinking Also, if your level is less than 40% of theirs, they'll not get a badge from touching you |

However there is still the possibility of getting bonus badges from opponents, say, more than 50% above you? And I said "millions" for emphasis, meaning "many." 960 is still a large number. |

i dunno.... my battletab doesn't show anyone level 552 right now... and i'm unable to take a planet from someone that high right now... or any level right now... i'm full on planets... but a little minor correction..... you can get a green badge from anyone's planet, regardless of their level.... the other 3 badges are limited to 12 hrs and no less than 40% of your level... so... 720 |

As for Bases, Dan said the Base level will determine how many people can get a Silver Badge, so if people are going after weaker Bases then not as many can get Badges, so good Legions will focus on higher level Bases. |

not to mention, the option of simply leaving your vessel dissabled until the alerts fall off, that way you preserve your combat rep, and they don't get any badges at all if they can't attack you. |
