We have the combat rep, based on number of battles and kill:death ratio, but what about people who prefer to hack. You could have someone with a laughable combat rep, but 1000 hacks? There could be a way to represent this with a third title, based on successful hacks and hack defences VS Failed hacks and hacks received. They could be something like this (using the combat rep numbers). -40 or worse: At risk -39 to -20: Vulnerable -19 to 10: Average 11 to 20: Coder 21 to 40: Scripter 41 to 80: Programmer 81 to 160: Developer 161 to 320: Hacker 321 or more: Expert Hacker This is just a thought, because the best hacking ships usually aren't that well recognised, and if some SOB has stolen one of your planets, hacking them will affect their rep as well as disabling them. |

Great idea. The names need more work though. There is also the fact that this is pretty much 'who gets the most TMs or spends their entire time waiting out the timer.'. My rep would be bad, so it would encourage me to start hacking. (I dunno, I'd probably be average/vulnerable?) You also need better names than that. (No offense.) If you look at the combat names, they are more a personality or trait, rather than a job. -50: At risk -49 to -40: Vulnerable -39 to -30: Insecure -29 to -20: Questionable -19 to 10: Average 11 to 20: Capable 21 to 40: Effective 41 to 80: Accomplished 81 to 160: Masterful 161 to 320: Ingenious 321+: Phenomenal |

+1 but for a true achievement this is how i think it could be worked -40 or worse: At risk -39 to -20: Vulnerable -19 to 50: Average 51 to 200: Coder 201 to 400: Scripter 401 to 800: Programmer 801 to 1600: Developer 1601 to 3200: Downloader 3201 to 4000: Hacker 4001 to 4500: security menace 4501 to 5000: Expert Hacker 5001+ : Anonymous Current ranking would be this 1. Iron Talon Lazuli Fixer 5039----- Anonymous 2. Krauzen Konqul Fixer 4382----- Security menace 3. Derick Allen Sillixx Explorer 3845----- Hacker 4. Timinski Hama Konqul Fixer 3191----- Downloader 5. Nocifer Deathblade Konqul Builder 2448----- Downloader On another note i found this topic as well viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3853 |

So for me, In the BT I'd show up as veteran/deadly/HACK TITLE The scaling could be for Dan to work out. But here's some other title's that I've thought of: Defenceless Pirate/ Piracy King Bypasser Stealthy Cracker Spammer |

interesting idea tho all names should be hacker bases like things not sure what but a hacker isn't deadly just stealthy or such anyways minor thing would rather have other things first. |
