As it is in the legions now the Leaders are in Gold and the Officers are in Silver. I'm recommending that we have an NCO / Non -Commissioned Officer class just like in the military that would be in bronze in the legion. It would basically show the steady ranking of people moving up or down depending on their effectiveness as leaders and or availability when others aren't on as much. People could get promoted to an Officer to have " More " responsibilities or demoted to NCO because of their lack of playing time even though they are very good leaders that make good critical decisions that an NCO may not have the ability to. When people like that come back from vacation or something later , they can be promoted back to their Officer position from the demotion of the NCO. ( Just an example ) NCO's are basically the Sergeants and command the troops and are on more often when the Leaders and Officers make critical decisions and can still be on often but maybe not as much. Leaders are " Generals " Officers are Colonels to Lieutenants NCO's are Command Sergeant Majors down to Sergeant |

yeah , i have to agree - good idea ! i would give them the ability to talk to other legion ncos to maybe help prevent wars or such |

+1 Would give something more for the most implicated members inside the legion AND will help the leaders to accomplish certain tasks and decisions. |

I would love to see this idea implemented, especially with recent change in base combat cool down time to 8 hrs. I think Leader and Officer should be for overall legion administration and NCOs can be assigned solely for legion base related stuffs like base scanning, ability usage, etc. I like having compact administrative leadership as well as NCO's for better base resource control. |

With base combat this could be very usefull to keep the scans of bases controlled but still let more people to be able to. |

Right now the leaders and officers can lock onto bases and it can cost up to 5 red badges to do so for the benefit for the entire legion. If we add another class / NCO like the military there could be 2 - 3 more people that could lock onto bases and use their red badges to take the load off of the other 4 , 5 , 6 Leaders and Officers etc .... The NCO's wouldn't be chiefs but would be able to do what the Leader / leaders give them the power to do. I would like to see them have a base only roll for the reason I stated above but that would be up to the other players in here and ultimately Dan to decide. |

our whole legion is allowed to scan/lock.... took a few days to teach everyone how this base scanning and locking thing works but it gives us the ability to spread the scans across everyone that has 2 red badges to waste, er, use.... we ask everyone that can to do only one scan and post the results in chat, and not to click anything.. anything.. until we decide what we're locking onto... leader or sr. officer usually makes that decision... there's normally at least 1 of them on all the time heck, even spreading it like this i think it'll take forever for me to get up to 512 reds for my guns... i just don't pvp enough i guess |

I think we should add to this, maybe bring in some of the other legion positions like diplomat and stuff from other topics, come on people suggest some others, here's mine: tactician - can organize legion attacks (can be overridden by the leader/founder if we get founders) like if a planet is alerted, they can put a timer that would pop up and count down and tell everyone to attack who is online Founder - I suggested this a long time ago, the person who founded the legion gets the highest position, they can not be kicked, and they can override other leaders, this is only given to the founder of the legion, and if they leave there will just be no founder maybe also have changing legion info cost half as much or something? idk add more to either of these or suggest your own on top of these (sorry if I'm thread jacking, if so let me know and I'll just move this to another topic with a link to this one) |

I have to agree with bender on this...officers can already fill that roll and u can have as many officers as ud like...now if NCO's had abilities such as giving each member a bonus to their combat or hacking (perhaps only in a mass attack/hack scenario) or served some other unique roll id be in favor of it. |

I like this , it will show what behavior you may expect from legion people but still keep officer chat off limits to some and limit who can do what as you should . Plus it will give some people some thing to work for not every one can or should be an officer but chilling as a member for ever gets boring and well unrewarding. |

+1 .. We sure need new position (NCO) to open up to fit the current PVP environment better for base wars to reduce confusions in ranks. If we promote members to officers only for base operations alone while other officers handle bigger responsibilities. It only is confusing to new members who join in and we would need to educate them every time. Once they see NCO, they would know off the bat plus NCOs cannot kick officers and members out so that is a plus.. |

+1. I have suggested a third rank type several times now. Definately needs to be more scaling in legion positions. Leaders would decide what permissions they have. Also you should be able to give custom titles to each position. |
