Dan I am speaking mainly for myself, but I am sure after last night base assault others would agree. Personally I will not invest as many recourses as I did last night to win only 5 silver badges, I spent 2x the amount of repair and shield drones then I did combined on all my 4 base battle so far added together. I am asking or suggesting you do a couple of things to make the current system a little better. 1st allow us to share a base with our allies, even if they have done there base assault already. Its hard enough to coordinate a base fight time wise with your legion let alone with the other legions. This way if your in a jam you can still ask another legion for help. However I do think a request for a legion help should only be aloud once every 24 hr. 2nd the amount of recourses vr the reward of higher lv bases is not worth the effort. I could have killed probably 3 or 4 lv 4 bases with half the players, for the amount of recourses spent last night to win only 5 silver badge. What I am suggesting is that the extra badges get added to the pool so if only 8 people show up they get more for there efforts. IE a lv 5 base offers top 5 get 5 6-10 get 4 11-20 get 3 21-30 get 2 31-40 get 1 Totaling 105 badges. Is it possible to tier reward the badges. so if only say if only 19 people show up the extra 30 badges get distributed to the players there. Making it top 5 get 7 6-10 would get 6 11-13 would get 5 14-19 would get 4 14-20 only got one extra because there were only 30 not claimed. and the last of the extra badges would stop at the 13th man. 3rd for the most part the traps are somewhat useless. The one that lowers your attack by 90% can be removed with a cage, so that should be changed to at least a 10-15 min permanent affect to limit the attackers The mine trap should permanently destroy your ship for say 30 min. If possible is there a way to enter into a bat tab for base combat as well. so we can also defend the bases with our ships, basically what I mean is the attacking players have to orbit the base not the defending players. This way we can see who is attacking and defend our base a lot more. |

I hate to say it, but better to kill a level 4 or easy 5 then a tough one......I would say the best measure of who many badges would be based on the combined damage done and received. I know this could possibly be abused ....... Now you know why I wont be visiting. Im sure your like us....max everything, as in everything. So if you ever want to find out what it would be like to fight yourself....stop on by.....i even have some of Bobs leftover chocolate around somewhere.... ![]() |

Yes, this is just the start of the combat mechanics. Its obvious that more unique incentives/rewards need to be added for disabling the higher level bases, especially level 5+ bases. The small amount of extra badges is not a very good reward at the moment. Although simply increasing the amount is possible, we think having unique rewards at the various base levels (in addition to badges) is a better idea. |

I think another good idea would be to give badge according to percentage of damage too. The base does not have a set Hit points. It adjust weather the defending legion repairs or not. maybe we can do it this way. say the a base ranked 5 and above would have a total of 150 badges. if player a contributed 10% damage he/she should get 10% of the badges. of course on the other side of the spectrum there are players who attacks a base with 1 hit and gets a free ride. There should be a minimum cut off on how much damage they should do before getting a reward. Say 10-20k damage to get at least 1 silver badge. That way players will really contribute to the group effort and not just hit the base for 15 damage and get a free ride. |

It should be dealt with by the legion and command structure there in. webguydan wrote: Yes, this is just the start of the combat mechanics. I was only adding a few thoughts from what we ran into fighting the base last night. Perhaps we could also get base tier items/ abilities that are won from killing stronger bases. |

Also Is there any talk about having a reward for the base being sucsefully defended. |

Chris24markey wrote: Also Is there any talk about having a reward for the base being sucsefully defended. I have actually had a thought on that: The members of the defending legion could contribute energy/EM/CTP or something to increase a single chosen attribute of the base (shield capacity, attack, defence, etc). It'd be a small boost, but if the base withstands the attack the "top contributors" get the badges that the other legion would have got if they'd destroyed it. This would some more control to base defence, and just while I'm thinking, the boost could scale with current base level (i.e. it'd take less energy to have the same % increase with a lower level) This could tie in with "defender" badges too. |

Dan! How about enabling a legion to intentionally share their own base with another legion when that other legion has a base lock available? This would permit intentional base attacks. "Yeah well, your legion couldnt hope to take down our base, here, we'll even give you a crack at it - how much is left on your timer?" "2 and a half hours, see you then!" Of consideration: No reason not to allow the aggressing legion from sharing the target with pacted legions. It's a risk you face when giving your base coordinates. |

Everyone would respect the intention here and not abuse a system like t-th-this... ...sigh... good point |
