Idea:
Every time someone spends badges to scan a base that base goes up on a scan list for everyone to see. We can see who is contributing.
Then an officer or leader depending a rule setting can pick from that list.

Solves two problems: Random members making bad lock choices and accountability for who is spening red badges.

Also, this has been said before but we REALLY need a post mortem on the base showing who did what to take it down.

The easiest solution to the first problem is to just let only officers and leaders scan. If you want some to rotate it more, upgrade a member to do a scan and then downgrade them after they lock onto it.

I do agree a postmortem would be nice.

Officers-only helps the bad lock issue but makes the uneven badge contribution problem worse.

Also, its terrible that closing your scan window loses the scan.
There are technical issues like forced reloads that make this frustrating.

Adding scans to a group scan list would solve that too.

Oh, and while I am asking for things, add a way to refresh the base scan window so we don't have to close and reopen it.

Read what I wrote again, there is no uneven badge contribution in my method. Less badges are actually used my way in general.

Allow the option to use Blue badges for the scan. Think about it... Blue badges buy a ship module that improves scan, why can't they be associated with SCANNING for a base?? Also higher ranks should be able to get blues easier than reds since you only need 1 fuse to untrap as opposed to 2 to get a disable. Throw in TMs and you can get enough to look for more than 1 or 2 scans (in case the 1st couple are crap or Uber-bases).

A 'Recently Scanned' list has been suggested before, but its a good idea. It would solve a few issues mentioned earlier, as well as make coordinating easier. Consider it 'on the list' :)
