Now that Base Combat is here, why not add Legion Combat Reputation? This would be similar to player combat reputation, and would be based on the number of times the legion had disabled another base vs. the number of times their own base had been disabled.

A--Combat Reputation is pretty meaningless B--It would only encourage strong legions to farm 2s and 3s

It would lend prestige to a Legion that doesn't get disabled and regularly disables other bases. B--Certain high-powered legions will "farm" low level bases if the game allows them to do so. The solution is to not allow a target lock if the base in question is more than 1 level lower than the base trying to attack it.

Do you get some kind of tangible bonus or reward? If not, its meaningless, pointless and a waste of time. Much the way PvP Rep is.

Hmm, so it would not matter to you at all if you were in a legion whose reputation was "Laughable"? You would get no satisfaction if your legion's reputation was "Deadly", for example? Odd, I would think that would be enough, but I guess not. Perhaps Legion Combat Reputation could replace or modify the Base Defender Bonus..... Each Reputation could have its own modifier. Laughable = 0% Weak = 25% Passive = 50% Balanced = 75% Harmful = +100% Menacing = +125% Savage = +150% Deadly = +175% Insane = +200% This bonus could be added to the existing Base Defender Bonus, or replace it.

First off, I have a Savage PvP rep that somehow I managed to maintain after 2 wars against top 10 legions. And guess what? I don't care. Doesn't mean my ship is any better or worse than any other rank 450ish. I don't PvP much, only to get enough badges for a base scan or 2 every day. All of the disables I suffer now are from people 200-300 ranks above me. Combat rep isn't what deters people from killing you. Spending tons of energy/repairs just to get through the shields is what prevents people from killing you. Second... If you do make Reputation "meaningful" by basing a tangible bonus on it, all you are doing is encouraging farming of lesser ships/bases. We already see complaints about the base combat system because those of us in level 5+ legions have realized that taking on 5's or bigger is a waste of resources so we hit 4's. This goes back to my statement that your build keeps you from dying, not your reputation.
