 Change back the credits reward

The only benefit of being a high level was the credit reward. Now, it's taken away. It kinda sucks big time.

Colonizing a planet costs over 40 billion and 80 billion to invade. I have over 80 open planet slots because I can't afford to fill them. The credits from the daily reward helped, but now it's a fraction of what it was.

There are 4 people on my battle tab, so basically only 4 people out there can give me badges. So badge system is pointless for me.

When I raid or hack a lower rank player, they get a lot more off me than I get off them. Another disadvantage of being high ranked.

There is only 1 repeatable mission that doesn't require anything to do, the sithion mission. I've done it 2721 times and have over 2600 t-plasma attractors sitting in cargo. There are no other missions to do. Doing missions is pointless for me.

It kinda sucks that there are more disadvantages to being a high ranked player than advantages. Please change the credit reward back to how it used to be.

Credits needed to be scaled immensely and I dont want it changed back -1 . We need new high ranked content I agree, but your the highest ranked player. Be like binaryman and reset. It may be fun.

Its a possibility, resetting might be cool to start fresh and take your knowledge from the game and use it as an advantage.

What, I don't like is having my income cut by 30-50%. How many people do you think would complain if they had their income cut by that much?

Alot, but thats not the case with most. If it was switched I would say make it credits or Minerals whichever is greater, for that person. So some get minerals and some get credits.

this change was decided for a couple months now... you've had time to build up your mining production to match your current daily reward credits

evidently it's not high enough if you're complaining about the change... you shouldn't rely on the daily reward as a necessary portion of your income.. it should be supplemental.. what would you do if you went 10-20 days without seeing credits from the daily reward?

Your not getting it. It's not how much I get from minerals. Even if my production was twice as much as the next highest person, it would still take a huge portion of my income so I would complain anyway as most anyone else would(As I said before, try saying something useful). It's the fact that this change is costing me 30-50% of my income.

You seem to be a strong advocate of this change even though it only affects your total income slightly. If you actually lost 30-50%, it would be interesting to see your reaction considering how strong it is with such a small affect on you now.

Seems like your one of the short sighted people who doesn't realize that eventually you'll be losing credits later on when/if you get to higher ranks.

I will probably be losing about 35% when I draw the minerals instead of a straight credit amount. Would I rather have the credits? Sure, but those are credits I don't count on to pay my upkeep or finance invasions or whatnot.

So, what is your invasion cost at? The cost rises exponentially while your income rises linearly. You may not have trouble with it now, but you will later.

I don't count on the daily credit for upkeep or invasion, but it helps.

My invasion cost is over 2.5B plus 1.8B upkeep (builder) at mid 400's. At that price I can only afford 1 invasion every 4-5 days (if I had anything scanned worth invading that is). While that is nowhere near your cost in sheer numbers, it still forces me to economize and prioritize where those credits go. As I said previously, there NEEDS to be more stuff for the uber-high ranks who have for all intents and purposes "beaten" the game, but I see this as a trade-off for the increased research on the daily reward that the MAJORITY of the players will find more useful. To quote Mr. Spock: The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

The problem here is that the amount of credits you get from a mineral point stops scaling with rank after a certain rank, but the credits we go from the daily reward continued to scale with rank.

I got 100k mineral points for my daily reward which gave me a 5th of what i got when it was credits.

i agree we should switch the mineral reward back to the credit reward. sigh. 1 step forward, one step back... at least research got changed. but i aswell am having my reward income cut by about 25-40%.

i was really hoping dan wasnt gonna follow through when he originally posted this alongside the research change, but i guess he added it in for consistency. personally, if the mineral reward was scaled so that it rewarded players with a similar amount of income then i wouldnt mind. but many players have lower mining than their daily credit reward, so its being cut by a substantial amount. either fix would work, switching the mining output to scale with the players level, or re implement the credit reward.

or, as another option, he could add in higher tier minerals as i previously suggested to adjust the distribution curve to yield higher end minerals. which would also allow him to add to the current branches of research. with a few more high end mineral like aidonium (as in 5 space minerals instead of .1 space minerals) the credit problem would be fixed, as it would adjust the distribution to be nearer to kurenite, and would also give dan some buffer room to add 3 or 4 more levels of research on the branches without just making the modules cost increasingly large amounts of aidonium.

Maybe a solution to your credit shortage would be if Dan changed base combat so that the winning side got 10% of the base's bank.

Like a example would be,

Team A beats B's base:
B base had 100bil in there bank:
Team A gets 10bil, NOT divided, everyone on the hit list gets 10bil each.

Althoe it sucks for you whats happened, i'd be pissed if I lost half my income, but like people have said you shouldnt have to rely on a random system to afford your ship? repairs etc. What if you went a week without the credits, how would your ship be then?

Your the highest player in one of the strongest legions, and im guessing all your research is prob done by now? So 2 you got research and minerals giving you credits but as thats not enough, why not just ask your legion for help? You got a base bank? Withdraw what they put in for you, use that to get another minning/research planet. Then again, and again till your 80 slots fill or till you can keep up your credits. Also i'd imagine your loaded with artifacts you'll never get round to using, sell them? or scrap them.

Or sell your high level services, you got a npc (a hive or w/e) that no one in your legion really needs, look down the top 50 and sell it to them. Theres alot of ways you can make up the credits you lost, proberly end up making even more you just need to be a little creative.

Blah, seems no one else is annoyed by the change to daily credits as me. (probably because I lose the most) :cry:

I would like to offer a suggestion then.

Have the credits we get from the minerals continue to scale up with rank instead of stopping at around rank 500 or whatever it's at.

Or have the cost to colonize and invade planets scale down. Seriously Dan, 80 billion to invade a planet is insane.

Frail I'm there with you and minerals do scale the larger the amount you exchange the more you get but has a lot to do with how much storage you have as one fills then the next one does right know mine is Erixion was hydium before that. All tho it is going up it's going up very slowly I'm wondering how much points you need to turn in to get Kurenite the highest and it will take forever to get to that point.
