cost:
50 flares
50 grav-whip traps
50 planetary vortex deflector
10000 EM
10XTS-9
200 energy

Essentially is the distress call everyone wants. Put it on your planet. If the planet is ever attacked and the population has dropped below 50% the beacon discharges an immense amount of energy creating a temporary spacial rift which prevents the use of planet flux's for 48 hours. The artifact is destroyed in the process but also sends an automated distress call (legion alert to help guard, under attack) to your legion.

I like this because it will really help out the players who are not on as frequently as they would like to be. It is very expensive and is destroyed if used so i dont think it would unbalance anything.

+1 from me, it's far too easy for people to steal planets. Planet stealing should be a long, drawn-out process far as I care.

+1, excellent idea. In fact, it's made me think of this:

Planetary distress beacon:
Planet Trap (lasts 1 week, you can only have one in effect at any one time, 48 hour cooldown between uses)
Automatically alerts your legion if your planet is attacked and the population drops below 50%. Alert happens regardless of current alert timer. Alert lasts 12 hours. The attacker doesn't know that they've triggered it. The alert sent is like this:

Spyders's planet Planetname is under attack from Attackersname.

The attacker is targetable for 12 hours, and the attacked planet is alerted (for guards).
