different type of ships new setting idea (not just pictures)

how about as a new setting you can get a different type of ship? wit different bonuses of course each one would get a different picture but the main advantage is each different type of ship gets a bonus by letting you install extra moduels here are the ones i came up with
Warship Class : +1 Weapons Module Explorer Class : +1 Scan Module Cloaking Class : +1 Jammer Module, or +1 Cloaking Module Heavy Class : +1 Hull Module Science Class : +1 Reactor Module Advanced Class : +1 Shield Module Defensive Class : +1 thruster module or +1 dampening module the way you ca change you class is either through GP ot itd be a nice holiday gift. and itd be cool if a mission allowed you to change it sometimes like the glavz devices do with race

I like the idea a lot but not the 7 day change. I think it would be a good holiday gift were you can change your ship class, and then after you can change it with GP.

I do not like the Specialist or the Tactical class options you put down.
You are giving players 6 points instead of 5 points per rank. In 2 ranks or 10 points they could (and most likely would) gain 2 extra decks. The Sillixx bonus is +1 deck every 10 decks gained (10%) so this "class" would double that bonus, making any race better than the Sillixx. As they could gain 12 decks per 2 ranks instead of 1 and get racial bonus to attack or defense or whatever. *I'm not counting artifacts as they are random, and change depending on your rank and production* You could take this class as a Sillixx and gain 3 decks every two ranks but that seems a bit over powered a rank 300 ship could gain 450 decks. That seems a bit extreme...
I don't like the idea of adding an extra npc module because any npc module you have falls into one category already. So in effect if you added say a double blaster thats a weapon so you are basically just a Warship or if you add Korteth plating you are just a Heavy Class.
I think the idea works well if you drop those two last class options. This should be added to the character creation table, where you pick your race and proffession. From that point when ever you use an artifact or gp to change your race, you would get to change your proffession and class as well.
+1 if considerations are taken.

+1 if considerations are taken. ya your right i didnt think of that also theres an NPC that drops relays thaqt would be overpowered also the extra rank points is also overpowered ill take them both out
