i think it'd be a good idea to have a vacation mode, that can only be enabled once a month, for a certain amount of time. that way, anyone who needs to go away, and not be around the internet, will know that their planets will be safe.

Yeah, it's been suggested before, and I think Dan said it might happen, but I don't know if it'll happen sometime.

I agree, most online games ive played (browser based) have had vac-mode:
like ogame: takes 24 hours to enable, still attackable that time, and it needs to be on for atleast 24 hours.
During that time your planet does not produce anything.

Sat Feb 20, 2010 7:03 pm - Dan said he was considering a Vacation mode ! Going away for a holiday in this game severely puts you at a disadvantage as I found last year. I am going into hospital for a few days and wont have access to GL for some while. Makes me wonder whether to carry on playing - if my planets get attacked I will have no way to defend or retaliate. I may run out of cash so my ship will suffer. My legion will not know and cannot help.

Yes I am moaning but a vacation mode is prevalent in other games and I see no reason for there not to be one here?
