Suggested so many times before... We need a artifact that either stops XP gains or reduces them significantly. I am leveling too fast for my liking, and when i NPC kill (which is what i mainly do) i level like crazy. |

I agree but thats what base contribution is for. Maybe have it as a repeatable mission. |

Dropped from an uncommon RSL NPC: Situational Inhibitor: Reduces all exp gains by 50% for 8 hours Dropped by rare RSL NPC: Amnesia Serum: All exp gains are multiplied by -1, meaning that you LOSE experience (but won't de-rank). Effect lasts for 2 hours. |

completely supports this. there are times you want to stop the ranking up because theres still thousands of energy left and you dont have a base that needs it. the base has a 2k limit anyway. |

Dan please make this happen. Or you could just use 2 neutral interfaces in the ct lab to make this. That would seem easier. |

No offense, but -1. To be honest, how you earn XP can be considered strategic. If you have a lot of these, you can essentially stay low level with high tech and high stats. If you are leveling too fast, then stop doing so much, take off some relays or reactors. |

Just look at most of AU. |

Yeah, but those people do it with good planning and strategy in mind, as Crow mentioned. This artifact will let you just do whatever you want while staying low level, requiring little planning and potentially even more overpowering people for their level. |

I can see it now a level 50 with all the mission tier rewards. |

Do you know how silly this sounds ? Are things that poorly designed in this game that it's no fun if you rank normally ? Granted the only benefit to rank now that credits reward based on rank was thrown out is planet slots, but still... I mean my experience is that pvp becomes a drag at higher ranks due to traps and higher gear. Why so obsessed over staying low rank ? |

-1, as I fast ranker, I am against this, especially if the artifact is from an NPC, I would hate these things getting in my bt unless I can sell'em for high prices ![]() |

Wait till you have 500 energy and your 3xp from ranking then you will come back and +1 I suggested make it a repeatable mission , 25e X 10 rounds. |

Wait till you have 500 energy and your 3xp from ranking then you will come back and +1 that's the point, I DON'T want my high exp return missions to end quicker, I don't really care if I have some wasted energy, the only thing I care about is ranking up, not completing the mission, I can do without completing the biweekly mission. |

there has been many times when i have 500 energy and im just 1exp away from level up. I get the point of this but i feel there a better way around this. Maybe a species thats a slow learner but gets somthing good in return? Somthing along the lines of " -20% exp, 20% extra research" or artifacts or minerals (which ever you guys prefer ![]() Either way i dont think an artifact is a good idea. |

if you want to slow down your XP gain, log in everyday and just chat chat chat chat chat... nothing else... that way you gain more research, artis, and mining per XP point gained |

-1. Thats essentially part of the game. You have probably went on overkill with energy. Obviously stop putting rp into engineers and stop researching energy tree. If you have excess energy, you can contribute to bases for a low return. If you cannot do that, you can go on a hacking spree, no xp gained there. Use ct lab, purge planets, buff up with everything before ranking. There are many useful ways to waste energy, and eventually with enough rank ups you will start asking for more energy as every rank adds 40 xp to the next one. |

My feeling is people just want to pad their pvp stats or have easier pvp by not ranking. I'm sorry but that's not going to happen. Once you get in the higher level range easy pickings are over; best to focus on making the toughest ship possible. I can't think of a good reason why people would resist ranking other than this. |
