The recent amount of players being banned has sky rocketed and hit the rough. Known players that have broken TOS rules are not being banned. Those that have hardly broken TOS rules if at all are being banned.
(Some of the stories I hear are outright crazy.)
I would suggest a reason should be provided for players being banned, and possibly the Galaxy Legion as a whole.

So you want a "Hall of the Banned" type thing?
Yeah +1 could be useful. I've stolen a few planets off banned players that I didn't know were banned until I mentioned who I stole from.

Yes would definitely provide an answer to alot of questions. Though for practical purposes it should be for major people either in top 50 legions or regular forum users. Mainly because no one on the forum would really give a rat's *ahem* for someone who got banned in a virtually unknown legion.

I do not like this idea to well, personally glorifying the people that got banned in some form either messes with who they where or could even boost there ego.
It just not feels like a good idea.

"- You may not make Posts and/or private messages that, in any manner whether directly or indirectly, discuss disciplinary actions taken by Galaxy Legion against any player (including the poster) whether in-game or on the Forum"
So the moderators should break their own rule? Ya that's going to happen.

I would suggest a reason should be provided for players being banned, and possibly the Galaxy Legion as a whole. I would rather just a list of all banned players of note. Giving a reason is painful for a moderator because people complain, chastise and claim no wrong-doing or a non-impartial serving of justice. A list of people banned would be sufficient. The reasoning? That would only cause more drama.

-1 to this one.
While it would be nice to see, I think it fuels fires un-necessarily and places GL into a position that would mean they have to defend their actions.
10's of thousands play, some leave, some get banned and some play every few weeks and go inactive.
System seems to work fine. I say leave it as it is.

This is a good idea. All the other games I've played on FB have a "wall of shame" or something similar that immortalizes the infamous in the game. Name, legion/guild/alliance, clear explanation for the ban. However: Dan wrote: In addition, we reserve the right to immediately terminate this Agreement, and/or your access to and use of the Game or any portion thereof, at any time and for any reason, with or without cause. Translation: Dan and his crew can ban anyone, anytime, for any reason, and not have to give an explanation to the banned person or anyone else. So I doubt this will ever happen. And god forbid that this cause yet more drama on the forums. Because there's never any drama on the forums.

It will not happen. It should not happen.
If Dan has to explain to everyone why he banned someone, aside from the potential privacy concerns (I assume someone would sue for defamation of character or out of sheer embarassment etc) the kangaroo courts that already inhabit the forums would only get worse, because each ban would essentially set policy. It would draw Dan into the stupid drama that permeates this place. And he needs to be above that to do his job effectively.
I -would- like to see a list of players that have been banned, and what type of ban (forum, temporary, permanent). That would be helpful to keep track. If posted monthly it would also prevent people from looking at the list and figuring out dates and times of bans.

Yep .. my point exactly however I like the list idea but the what type of ban leads to your point in the above paragraph. Simply XXXXX - Banned. TheFix

they are banned . let it go. who cares why ? if you play the game the way you're supposed to, you won't have any problems . period. the ones who got banned deserved to be banned, because they committed ban-able offenses. who cares who, or why ? it just makes more drama and takes away from dan's time to improve the game.
