When I'm equipping my ship, I find it difficult to sort through the equipment I have because they are grouped into too few categories.

I suggest splitting the current groups into new tabs:

Weapons: As now.
Defense: Thrusters/dampeners, but not shields.
Cloak: All cloak modules.
Scanners: All scan modules.
Energy: As now.
Hull: As now.
Shield: Shield modules, split from def/shield.
Devices: All odd stuff that doesn't easily fit into one of the above categories.

So defenses/shields is split into defenses and shields, and devices is split into cloak, scan, and devices.

There is already a thread about this same thing Here. Several people (Including myself) have all agreed saying we want this.
