 {planet} Player controlled ships.

This idea has been brought up before with Capturing NPC ships. I think that player controlled ships would be a great addition to the game. They'd be artifacts and fit into your inventory and simply work like any planet artifact. Missions, NPCs and the Battle Market could be used to gain/buy these ships.

Depending on how powerful these NPCs are (I made these pretty powerful) they have to be targeted and destroyed before you attack the planet. The fighters would be able to be targeted instantly.

Simple NPC combat. These are only as powerful as a Crimson Flamehawk.

sounds cool, but i would restrict them from being used to attack players

Yeah I agree. It would be best for it to be purely defensive. This would allow you to have a small defense fleet scattered throughout your planets - with your main ship the only thing attacking players.

you could expand on this idea in many ways....when disabling an npc ship, you could have to option to destroy it, take control of it, or cannibalize it for parts, each option giving you a different reward : destroy, normal , take control to use for planet defense , or cannibalize for a chance at a special mod or artifact

1+ to fighters, their should be multiple types, like bombers, heavy bombers, planet attack speed fighters, and scouting fighters. I think you should be able to one group of a different type for 1 attack on a player, based on your own battle stats, the enemy or planet would be hurt, but you would take no planet. They would be equally available for everyone, yet a bit rare, but the type and strength depends on your rank and stats.

The speed attack fighters and scouts, would be more defense, and bombers would be attack, and heavy bombers would be more attack but higher defense too. I think they should be able to be buffed, but still have one use on attacking. Then their would be three to four just for planet defense, and four to five for attacking or assisting ally ships in legion in fighting, and use as ONE attack on a player or planet.

Also, they could be like a trap to, but noticeable, as you could have them gaurd yourself, but one attack on you gets rid of em, while you have no damage. And the planet defense ones would just be like normal NPC's, that instead gaurd planets of yours.
