Ok, so i had a thought while looking threw legions, and seeing names like the Vygoid Genome, and things like that. so my idea is, how about we have a major faction of racial extremists from each of the playable races and theyd have there own artifact drops. so far we have the "Terran Outsiders" who drop terraformers for the humans, so why not things like.
The Konqul Rebels: A split group from the Konqul Empire, causing destruction threwout the Konqul empire and its allies by raiding trade vessels and gorrillia warfare on their planets. Arti: Military BDD (Building Destruction Device) which would destroy one non combat building on a planet.
The Vygoid Genome (i liked the name): a group of pure blooded Vygoid who are trying to eliminate and "Impurities" in genes by destroying genetic diversity that is outside there own gene pattern. Arti: Genetic Purifier, Turns the entire planets population into the the current race of the player and would give the bonus that the race gives.
The Inergon Extremists: Due to there desire to collect energy threw any means necissary this group of Inergons have thrown laws and morals out the window, and have started harvesting life forces of sentient beings everywhere. Arti: Life Force Depletor, drains half of any planet, Friend, foe or owned, for a return of energy (will leave for designer to choose the ratio)
The Sillix Scavengers: A group of sillix who have taken to stealing materials to constently improve their ship, even by stealing other ships equiptment. Arti: Modular Teleporter, Which when fighting a player, the user will randomly gain a module that would fit from the other ship and take it as its own for 2 hours. (the story on this one would be changable, it was kinda spat out and i didnt want it to mimic another race to much)
The Aerlen Artificials: these Aerlen have given there ships "Sentience" to make them want to survive and fend for themselves, giving them more manuever capabilities letting them move freely like an animal, what they didnt see tho is that the ship took them as "parasites" and has created a "Skeleton Crew" from a combination of nanites and organic tissue and enslaved the unfortunate crews. Arti: Sentience Control Core, Makes your ship Sentient but puts a metiforical "leash" on it, by localizing the part of the ship it controls to keep it from running rampant. can be placed in any Module area on the ship with a chosen effect depending on area. (difficult to create but doable)
This is just an idea, so feel free to improve as you see fit with a logical reason

- infinity.... A full planet of 400+ vygoids? With a 20% research bonus on a gas planet? So like 800% more research on a planet? No thank you. Also, I do not understand the the Sentience control core very well, other then that, good idea

Also, I do not understand the the Sentience control core very well, other then that, good idea For the Vygoids I'd see it more like a 5% total boost at most due to kronyn being able to increase quality of a planets research already the other boost would make it pour out RP to the point that even the new techs being released costing 10 million would be finished easily. I believe the sentience section would be like an upgrade to a type of equipment like you could select it to be for weapons when it is installed and it provides something along a 5% boost to att but to nothing else or if you give it to a different section it would give a similar boost to that stat alone. The one problem here is would it be a permant such as the radiant weapons where once installed it remains that way forever or would you be able to chance one every so often like an ability? It seems an Interesting idea, just needing some counterweights to keep the game balanced.

no i didnt mean for the vygoid to be 20% per person lol, i ment if a Vygoid used it on his planet, then the planet would only get a 20% boost. lol
and well i ment for teh Sentience Core to be like, acessable from the Module list if you have it in your inventory, and you would be able to choose one area to put it in as a module, to increase the attack from a weapon, energy from an energy core, shields or whatever you choose. i mean im not sure if it would be used as a module to improve everything in the section you place it in, or if it would be a permanent % boost. but i was thinking of it as a module to make it use space so it would take a more strategic approach as to if you would use it or not, b/c if it doesnt take any room up people would just get them willy nilly, use them up and never think twice about it

so the Inergon one....
this would strip a planet reducing it's resources while giving you XX amount of energy?
this would need to be RARE and not a GP purchaseable item.... there would be way too many pissed players.... but wait...I like pissin e'm off +1+1+1+1

no youd still have the resources, but youd get some % of increased energy recharge or something. even if its a small amount. and i was thinking that the ships that actually carry this would be as rare as the T.O. Dropships that carry the Terraformers. but still have a fleet of other ships

What about the unlockable races? You forgot them. There's already Drannik NPCs, Lazuli npcs, some Mylari npcs, and I think (?) Zolazin Npcs, but what about Genetarr and Talte-can't spell name?

no, i didnt forget them because they start out as NPC's with there own specific drops. i was giving the races that wernt included in NPC's which other than human T.O. where they were specifically identified as humans, no other player race has an NPC faction

I haven't reached the Talterian mission yet so I wouldn't know if they have their own NPCs.

Well im only at rank 132 so idk whats NPC and whats not and the wiki isnt something i have patience to navigate. so you guys could pop up some ideas for those that arnt NPC's. personally i think it would be a cool idea to have and would introduce more NPC's so we dont keep only running into a few. b/c all i get most of the time are Shaddin Raptors.
